The Second Book of Cullompton

Air Quality in Cullompton
Information about air quality in Cullompton is now available from Mid Devon District Council's web site. Near real-time figures from air quality systems, which monitor continously can be viewed here.

Culm Valley Guide
The Culm Valley Guide was launched at Cullompton Farmer's Market on Saturday 10th July 2004. This 16 page quality Guide has been produced jointly by Mid Devon District Council, Cullompton Town Council and the Blackdown Hills Rural Partnership's Leader programme. It will act as a terrific boost for the area and be extremely useful to both visitors and local people who want to get to know this lovely part of Mid Devon better.
The theme of the Guide is the River Culm, raising awareness about its associated industries, recreational activities and communities. Its aim is to promote and celebrate the area, particularly the diverse and attractive villages and towns within its boundaries. It contains details of local attractions and features a pull-out watercolour map.
The Guide was very much a local effort, Blackdown Hills based illustrator and artist Peter Barratt produced the artwork and members of the community contributed historical and other information. The Guide will be made widely available through Tourist Information Centres and other outlets but if you come along to the Farmers' Market you will among the first to receive a copy of this innovative Guide.
